Listen, we all have a tendency to say dumb things. But you seem to have taken exception and I can't fault you for how you interpret things. But what I can offer is this: you have only been on here since January. Maybe you're like me in that I managed to lock myself out of my old handle and look newer than I am, but you need to take things with a grain of salt. If your knee jerk reaction to a forum comment you disagree with is to call for publicly demeaning another forum member, you're going to have a tough time in the firehouse when you may disagree with a lot of things that are said.

My advice, if you really don't like what another person says, assuming it's not legitimately offensive, let it go. Why get all worked up over something that doesn't affect you?

    Just some food for thought.

I don't see a point in asking the same questions over and over . When there is a search function in the forum and u can simply type Ur question and get Ur answer . That's just plain common sense . In terms of the joke . The joke is played out herc already had a run with the same joke . Either way see it as u May.

It's crazy how much more constructive this forum has become. There used to be lots of *********s and needless arguments, like everyday haha.

Congratulations on all the guys who passed the run. Stay focused and keep training! I do not know why anyone would fail that run but I hope they at least tried their best. If not, they were not meant to be a Fire Fighter and thats a perfect way to trim the fat. I have a question for anyone who did the medical preferrably veterans, do they ask you if you have any service connected disability and does that DQ you on the medical?

Once again congrats to the recent graduates and good luck to the individuals going into the academy. Keep us posted on your progress! Hopefully I get in Janurary but now I think I might be slated for July 2015 but I will keep my fingers crossed!!

I don't know what's more fascinating. The fact that there is over 1100 pages on a forum for this exam or the fact that we are at the1100s pages when they have just called the 1100s for the run. Subliminal messages ? Maybe those that want to know what class they will get into may just predict based on what forum page we are on. That's the only apparent pattern since this process started. Haha

I think it's crazy how the next class is going in on July 14th, exactly one day short of the three year anniversary of the filling date opening.

Passed the run. I don't know about alpha group but nobody failed in Bravo. That pacer looked like he was running a 14 min 1.5 to me, guy was waaaaay behind us. And if you think you're only gonna be running 1.5 miles that day then you're dead wrong. But you'll see lol. Some guys who passed the actual run still fell behind on the little "surprise" and got reamed out big time. Just plan on more running that day than you think.

And if you don't want a any negative attention, then shave completely. There were many examples today.

Shave both. Over 90% of guys had hair today. The DI's questioned every single one of them, including myself.

I think I heard them say attendance was complete. In fact I'm sure because the last guy they were waiting for came very late (7:02am) AND on top of that he forgot his wallet in his car and had to go back. Boy did he get it lol. I'd say he will be the most remembered from today's batch. Looked to be around 100 guys total give or take a few. Ran in 2 groups, alpha and bravo. 2 guys were being bought back from Alpha group in a mobile cart and we're getting cursed out for being "unprepared". I'm not sure if they failed the actual 1.5 or if they fell behind on the post mini run because the DI's said everybody passed today. So they probably "failed" the post run.

Here is some gold for those of you on the cusp of being called. June 27th will be the final run date. Over heard a DI and some other official talking about it after my run today. Somewhere around 20 guys.

    Good luck

Come to think of it, those 2 guys probably failed the 1.5 cuz one of the DI's pulled them to the side and said "Get the f*ck out of here. UNPREPARED!!! NO TRAINING!!" and I don't remember seeing those guys back in the auditorium after that. Maybe someone else on here who was there can confirm.

There was 71 guys today who all passed and about 70 yesterday.

Tomorrow and the 25th is slated for another 50 guys with plans for a possible run on the 27th.

Can only confirm the number for today as I was there, the rest I heard the higher ups saying. Numbers don't quite add up but again this is just what I heard.

Don't be an idiot, shave everything, it's not that difficult.

Also heard them say fastest guy today was something like 7:55.

Congrats and thanks for the info man. So if those numbers are accurate then they could still be sending out 80-100 more run letters to fill this class? Basically...

    June 17th = 70
    June 18th = 71
    June 19th ~ 50
    June 25th ~ 50

    total ~ 241

Leaving about 80 more spots to get to 320.

Anything I'm missing here? I feel like the previous runs didn't really follow this pattern.

Negative, those two guys were right back in the room..They were just "escorted" back to the building after the run.

The ratio may not be as bad as it seems... Even though the list seems to not be moving fast, remember there are a lot of candidates that appealed to DCAS and have been replaced in the list with .5 numbers... is there a new list with these revisions? The ratio may still actually hold at 1:3 or 1:4 if we use that as a factor. If this class ends up at list 1400, the real list number may actually be something like 1650.

If your list number is 5000, your true number in the list may actually be 5500 after they redid the list... This is just an example...
