Go to Home Depot, buy some rope, 12-15ft should be enough to practice. Remember practice with gloves.....
As far as the sneakers, don't get another pair. If you have another pair at home, bring them in just in case you get the other ones wet. Chances are you will not wear them out unless you buy a crappy pair.

Hey guys, so before the academy I've sorta put the weights down and have been focusing a lot on running and HIIT routines.

I wanted to pick your guys brain about a routine I've been doing. Skim through it or even try it and let me know how you find it. Are you guys doing stuff similar to this?

As DI D. said; 30 questions, each from a different chapter in the book. Each question to have four multiple choice answers with only one being correct.

Damn, I just finished with the questions. I thought he just said 30 questions, didn't get the part where each one had to be from a different chapter. I had 2 questions for a couple of chapters.

A recycle told me there were only about 25 people recycling.

Instead of ditching the weights altogether, the instructors at CPAT training were telling us to focus a lot on compound movements to get the most out of it. Squats, Lunges, Deadlifts, Bentover Barbell Rows, Military Press, Bench Press just to name a few. I also have designated days for calisthenics only, like pull-ups and push-ups and dips etc. Also kettlebells are really good. I also run and do the stairs 4-5 days a week each. I feel like videos like the one you posted are for people who are just getting into working out or are trying to lose weight only. Beginner stuff. Idk, that's just me. If you like stuff like that, insanity actually looks more challenging to the point where it will actually help you for the academy. I'm just going by what the instructors and ff friends of mine have told me. Just passing it along.

When I went to the mentor meet at the rock, one of the instructors (forgot his name but I've seen him in a lot of YouTube videos) said to have two pairs of shoes and alternate them day. And if it rains, they're running so good to have a dry pair for the next day. That days also, he had asked some probies to stay after. Three of them stayed and spoke to us in front of the room. Somebody asked if there was one thing they wish they did more of before they got into the academy, all of them said they wished they read the probie manual more. Idk about any of you guys, but since I got 5+ months before the next academy! I'm gonna try to read this entire book a few times all the way through. Figured there's so much physical stuff to deal with, it would be embarrassing to be wasting too much time on the academic stuff (especially since I can actually avoid it).
