It wasn't too bad.
I am just wondering how the scoring goes? i know the first 100 were 40% and the last 150 are 60%, but is it scored 250/250 with each question being 2.5 pts and then they just divide our score by 250? Or is it on a different scale?-Firefighting is a lifestyle NOT a career-

I feel pretty good about it too.
Don McNea's seminar was very helpful. Definitely prepared you for what exactly was on the test.
Hope to be moving on with you all and getting that dream job! It'd be awesome to go through an academy again. Best time of my life.
Good luck, and patient waiting!

Which study guide did you follow to answer disagree on a lot of the questions? (the last 150?)
The first part went well... the last 150 .. well you just had to be honest I guess and go with the flow hoping the way you view the world is what they are looking for. From taking the Austin exam this year, the last part seemed almost identical to the questions asked on Austin's exam.
I'm still in process from the 2010 list but took the 2011 exam just in case January 2012 doesn't work out. It always is daunting to look at 3-4,000 people and think how in the world am I going to be the top 200 or so.
Good luck to all!

yeah its definetly good to be honest, but the strategy is only answering strongly agree or strongly disagree; never just agree or disagree or not sure.

I feel very confident about this exam as well; Don Mcnea and the study guide provided were definitely a great tool for the test. Good luck to all!

Don Mcnea seminar helped a lot. The portion where we had to list the sequence in the opposite order threw me off a little, and portion where we had to find the shapes..pointless, but think I got most if not all of them. The Agree/Disagree just answered like the seminar told us to do so... hopefully it all works out, cant wait for some results!

I am surprised he didnt' update the seminar for the sequence items being reversed, that was like that last year too. Those shapes can be tricky (i had forgot about those).
I did Don McNea for both San Antonio and Ft Worth and finished very high on both tests. Big supporters of his study materials

The reverse order deff took my time, but it wasnt hard just very time consuming..
on the SAFD website they have a tentative timeline powerpoint presentation and apparently they are gonna have a class June-August 2012 and another Jan-Feb 2013.. i think for class one they are gonna fill from the Last test and this Test.. or maybe they are gonna have more than one class (one class of last year and one class of this years..)
anyways the next step is gonna be CPAT orentation between November and Jan..

Not yet. I contacted the recruiting office to inquire on the status this week. They informed me they are working on the 150's right now. I'm in the 180's. The academy is close to being filled so my chance of making it on in January are looking slim unless a slew of folks in the 160s and 170s did not pass the cpat/ergo or something else. It is crazy that this class could all come down to a lotto number as others with my same test score (90) are being processed. Guess it is luck of the draw so to speak. Good luck to you! Hope you make it on. This is such a long process that can be draining at times, should be worth it. I know this for sure.
I'll keep on keeping on. The exam this weekend went well though I'm second guessing the last 150 part now as some were mentioning on here only to answer strongly agree or disagree. There were some I answered agree/disagree but I know I did not select the I'm not sure box so perhaps I'll make it high up on this next list.

I sure hope they fill from 2010's test for the June class as if I don't make it on January's I would be next in line on the list (or close to it) but from what I heard from the recruiter, once the January 2012 class is filled from the 2010 test, the list is retired and the list from the 2011 exam will be used for the future academies.
Good luck to all! Don't give up... and keep active.
