For your information - I did schedule to review my exam, I am appealing, and I am more than willing to join a suit. Fortunately, the PFD is not the be all, end all for me, so despite doing very well, I will challenge.
I am more than confident in my abilities and work ethic and believe I'll rank high in any legitimate test. So I would love them to throw this list out. The ppl who are keeping their mouths shut are the ones who scored 100's and KNOW they could never get that lucky again (I am not one of those ppl).
Check your emails, if that isn't criteria for class action I'm not sure what is...
Yea..I dropped 2 spots. blah :(
You guys check your email? Adjusted rank is in. I moved down 21 spots.
I dropped one ... This doesn't take into account all the people with new ff1 and emt certs does it? It hasn't been thirty days yet has it?
I'm down 26 spots.. Did they produce the actual list? I need to see and compare. This is f**cking ridiculous.
You can't just tell someone what their new "rank" is without actually showing us the list..
Apparently, the city has violated their own rules and have permitted certs to be handed in after their own, self-imposed deadline. Follow the advice of others on here and start connecting and confer with an attorney. Who knows what else they would dig up during discovery?
Who said I contact to enlighten me about my new rank?
Ahh thats a very good point. How bout what your score was? And how many spots you dropped? That would save anonymity.
When will the new "list" be distributed? Or are we supposed to accept our new rank on good faith?
Randomname..... Are you drunk or just slow?
Upsidedown.. Please go take your high school diploma and crawl into the NE philly shack you live in
Should I take my college diploma too? What about my complete sentences and streamlined thoughts? I can take all of them if you want.
I am sure existing fire fighters are reading these threads with great interest and shuddering at the comments from what will be the new crop of recruits coming their way.
I dropped over 30 spots with the new email. I can't believe the city does not have a physical fitness test for the fire department. By the time the recruit is in the academy and they realize he is not fit enough for the job, its to late. The city has already invested to much time and money in that recruit. Why doesn't the city have a timed physical fitness test to break the tie and kill two birds with one stone?
