Does anyone know when the study guides are going to be issued
Scratch that it is available RIGHT NOW!
You have to log in to the phila.gov website click on your applications and you will see the guide and the practice test.
It's on the HR page if you view your completed application.
It's like reading a Fire 1 textbook compressed into 100 pages
Recieved my email for the study guide.. Question, whats the mini academy? Havent been following this thread everyday, so maybe it was answered..
Is the test definitely scheduled for November 19th? I have the Bridgeport Fire Department test that same exact day, and I don't know which one I'll take now if this is the case.
Anyone know if Philly is giving one test date, or multiple ones?
Hey, I didn't get the email..should I be concerned? Should I call on Monday? what is the "mini academy"? I'm a little concerned...I saved the email with my confirmation code and everything...
There are supposed to be several "Mini-Academies" occuring in the coming weeks. These are basically large organized study groups hosted by members of the recruiting team. I would plan on attending at least one in case there is any "inside" information given out. Keep an eye on the Philly Fire Test facebook page for the dates and times. I don't think they are out yet.
From the looks of the study guide, you guys better start studying NOW. There is a lot of information covered and it doesn't look like they'll be asking softball questions. Certainly not a coloring book test.....hence the reason for the rumored pass/fail.
GOOD LUCK!!
Does anybody have an inkling as to where about in the city the test is usually given? I will be coming in from out of state and will need to book a hotel possibly (depending on what day/time the test is given). I don't have a car so a hotel in the general vicinity would be great. Thanks.
I'm going with November 19th..I feel that it will be 1 date, 1 time at various schools like..Fuss..I think..said..If the whole car thing is an issue, I'd try calling the human resources department and explain to them you're issue and I'm sure you can get some info out of them.
