    Default Paul Conway/Lion Helmet

I want to give some kudos to the great people at Lion Apparel. My Paul Conway helmet was damaged in a fire and they offered to repair it for free. I told them that I didn't want it repaired because it is hanging on my wall as a reminder of what happened. Yea its a little woo-woo, but I feel like I earned this one. I was basically calling them to tell them how their helmet performed and gave them some pictures so they could make improvments on the design if needed. The gentleman that I was speaking with told me that instead of repairing the old one, he would just send me a new one. I was very happy, saved me 600 bucks during a time when I was living on 80 percent of my salary (thanks Workers Comp). So hats off to Lion for getting my hat back on!

Excellent, it is nice to hear when a company goes that extra mile.

Thanks brother! Im back on shift, only off for a month. No injuries to my head or neck, the helmet took alot of heat and melted all of the hardware holding it together which caused it to separate but held together long enough for me to get out.

My hats off to Paul Conoway! Now that is customer service & then some. Makes me want to buy a Conoway, almost...lol

& I'm glad to hear you are alright. I'm sure Conoway Co. would be greatly appreciative of the pics...Only way to improve upon a products is to see it's defects. Smart idea on your part.

I've been happy with them, I had a black one for several years before this one and never had any issues. It is heavy, but the padding on the inside feels like angels are gently hugging my head with their fluffy wings. Ok maybe not that good, but it sure beats the plastic department issued ones. I got the idea to send it in to them from here, so amidst all of the bickering and name calling, I was able to salvage something positive. I was going to name this thread "People doing the right thing (with helmets)", but I didn't want to see it go 14 pages deep.

Love mine. I've had it for years and it has never failed me. A lot more comfortable than the Cairns we have at the station.

I agree completely! I've never had any problems with mine. Great helmets!

The damaged one returned home today, so back on the wall it goes. Here are a few pics. We got a little heat blowing out of the window we bailed out of and the hardware holding it together melted. I probably could have had the chin strap on tighter, but it didn't fall apart until I hit it on the top of the wondow on the way out. Make sure your neck flaps are down and not rolled up and tucked behind your ratchet!
