No clue... I would think a good 30-50.. They have a over 50 from what I hear that are eligible for retirement, including a few Bat. Chiefs.

I applied the other day. I just got done with EMT school, but did not graduate I made a 71 on final, and needed a 75. Doesn't Gwinnett put all recruits through EMT-I?

I believe EMT-I is like pretty standard in most depts in GA

You have one year from date of hire to obtain NPQ FFII, Hazmat Ops and EMT-I. All should be offered in rookie school.

just got out of the army, technically still in but on terminal leave. I do not have any of these certs... what are my chances of getting in?? also do you know of where I can get a compass or asset test? thanks

COMPASS/ASSET tests can be done at any technical school in the state. It is basic knowlege and something you should do just fine with.

Gwinnett hires people with no certs just like anyone else. I am sure you won't be the only one applying who isn't already certified.

I have fire 2 and HM ops .. I'm new to this site, and can't figure out how to search for jobs in specific state. (Georgia)

They are wanting a new training facility?

I did hear they want may break ground on station 31 soon over in Collins Hill.. I've seen E31 a few times.. I think its housed at 24 or used to be.

yes the courrent one has been there since the begning of the dept also not just 31 there hoping to open even more and completly outfaz the fratliner engines and only have the KME's the dept is doing vary well

idk about collins gill station now the freightliners ya only a few station have them but those are the resever engenes are most the freghtliners but hopefully that is going to change to a whole KME fleet \

Which stations have freightliners still? They just use them for reserve. Every station should have a KME considering they have E31 that doesn't even belong to a station.

E31 is in temp service cuz i dont rember witch staiton but is going to be in the shop for a wilal so its back out but soon there will only be reserve KMEs
