Anybody have one or know of a website to download a Power Point program for basic instruction of building types, roof types, etc. Trying to run a class for students and want to give them some basic insight as to the classes of buildings and other basic information you would need to know for initial size up.
Any help would be appreciated.

Building Construction PPT
"Structural stability of engineered lumber in fire conditions" is a on-line presentation detailing extensive tests of lightweight and engineered wood assemblies. Although the entire lesson is a real eye-opener, you can access portions of it, one of which is a review of the five types of construction. There are several other PPT lessons here as well. UL is a under-utilized resource that the fire service can really learn from.
