Default Types of Fire Service related Degrees

    Hi everyone,
Im interested to know what type of degrees you can receive to use in the fire service. I have heard of Emergency Management Degrees and Fire Science/ Technology Degrees. Im just curious to know if there are any others that I didn't mention.

    Thanks!

A degree in any subject is good. I received my Bachelors in vocational education (Teaching Credential) and my Masters in Public Administration. Both degrees were earned from Cal State Long Beach.

I was on the fence about earning a masters in public admin. Do you think it was worth it?

but it seems that a lot of these majors arent even associated with the fire service. would you need some type of fire related degree to move up within the fire service or would any degree really work? seems that you would choose a degree in the field that you would be working in instead of political science or phsycology.
