Economy in the crapper - and we have a president that reads speeches in a monotone from a teleprompter. Where is our version of Churchill ?

Not Quite..........
No, a couple of us are still here, but we're not wanted. It seems that our management style offends a few folks. For one thing, we expect people to be responsibile and accountable for their actions. We also expect people to have and use common sense. And what really upsets a lot of them is that we don't subscribe to the idea that they are entitled to something without working for it........... So, Yes, we're still here, we're just not in demand right now.......

Holding people personally responsible and accountable for their actions? What a novel concept!
Why NOT make people behave in a manner that shows maturity and forethought in their actions(Don't believe the cops who administered "station adjustments" to me as a kid. They got the wrong guy)
If people were to make sure that what they did didn't make them or their family and/or friends look like doofusses, the country and world would be a lot better place for it.

Vote for Woods in 2012! (That will get the environmentalist fired up!)
Harve in charge, where all the stumping for votes involves a tractor pulling..

Ok, that's my contribution to the campaign poster ideas..

I think Christie is one of those guys, unless he is touching one of your pet projects... then you'll hate him.
He talks straight and there are no sacred cows. So unfortunately, he probably won't last.
As much as this country claims to want a direct leader who tackles the tough problems, they really don't.
Medicare and social security are prime examples. EVERYONE admits they have a bleak future without significant change, but noone will actually say it and follow up on it.I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.

The Colbert Report had on an author of a study from Tufts that said that some of our best leaders also had some sort of mental illness.. now whether that's correlation or causation is the question. I've always said you've got to be F'd in the head to want to be President.
As far as I'm concerned almost everyone in congress is a bunch of disconnected D-bags. R's..D's.. don't matter. So you call this your free country
Tell me why it costs so much to live

Well.........
Absolutely no apology needed here. But when you think about, there's not much difference between the Lack of Leadership at the State and National Political Level, and the Lack of Leadership in many Fire Departments...... Sadly, I don't hear a great cry for change at either level..........
