Question Sanitizing and PMCS for leather Boots

just got a used pair of Survos leather Structre boots, and they have a Nomex/Kevlar liner, that smell horrible(moldy) i was wanting to know how to pull service on them, just washed the outside with dawn and war water look nice, now what about a sealant like what i use to use for old ball gloves(bag balm) and getting the insides nice and fresh.

This is going to sound weird, but it works...

Stick them in a big freezer for 4 or 5 days. The deep freeze will kill any bacteria that are causing the odor in the lining. Then give them a spray with febreeze or a similar product.

NOTE: They will never, ever smell absolutely clean and fresh ever again, but they will improve substantially.
