I will be in New York next month (12th and 13th) and was wondering if there were any FDNY members here wanting/willing to let me come down visit the station and do a shirt trade? I would be coming from a small combination dept. In CO.
I know I could just drop by a station and try. However I would much rather set something up in advance.

Speaking for what i have found at FDNY houses (and other large departments) the shirts are sold to support the House Fund. So trading a shirt does not make any sense for them. They lose as much as $10 or more in profit to get a shirt they have no use for. I would imagine it would be different if you brought a shirt for everyone in the house, they might give you one. But shirt for shirt? i doubt it.
