    Default Hey from Upstate Ny!

    Hey there, I am a Volunteer for the Beukendaal Fire Department in Glenville, Ny (15 mins west of Albany). I am a year in and loving it. I am currently a 911 Dispatcher for the Town of Glenville, but I am looking to turn the fire service into a career.

    Thanks for the welcome! The storm made it quite interesting for us, spent a solid 17 hours at the FD. Typical trees/wires down calls all day, stubborn people driving through the barricades...into deep water and needing rescue. This happened 3 times. It was an interesting and exciting day, and also an unfortunate one for alot of our residents. Just hoping we get a nice repreave from the weather for a while...
