Pleasant Grove's TestOut Corporation honored the police and fire departments of Pleasant Grove with a steak fry at Pleasant Grove City Park on Monday. To celebrate 20 years of business, TestOut Corporation has been engaging in community service projects each month during the past year. In remembrance of Sept. 11, TestOut decided to provide lunch for the firefighters and police officers of Pleasant Grove as a way to say thanks for their service.
"It's nice to see someone who still cares about the community," said Lt. Mike Roberts of the Pleasant Grove Police Department. "We're lucky to have them here."
Other service projects include painting city curbs, distributing textbooks to children, providing free drinks at a Hart's Gas & Food store in Pleasant Grove and more.
"It's just a way for us to say thank you," Noel Vallejo, CEO of TestOut Corporation, said. "I guess that's just the bottom line -- we're grateful."
