also I think the things like Hazmat has to be either proboard or IFSAC or DoD I don't think they would hire you without those seals on your certs, somebody correct me if I'm wrong on that

certs
IFSAC, PROBOARD, or DoD. Not having ARFF may be the biggest reason since it seems that's becoming a requirement. Even though they're typically not a requirement for operations at the FF level, Fire Inspector and Instructor are plusses as well.
Good luck.

No you are correct sir. All of these need to be either IFSAC or ProBoard as they are the only ones that have DoD reciprocity. While ARFF will help this kid he needs to make sure all his other certs are in order. As for the EMT, most contracts only require FR, however get the EMT if you can. My guess is that the HazMat certs are his problem.

So, let's go get ARFF....punky brewster. Where?
I am ProBoard FFII and EMT-B, 44 y/o began fire service at 38. I've seen some specifics of limitations at 37, but not sure how that works.

How long is ARFF, is that an on-site dorm type of deal? let's go. Marshall Islands look good, but possibly not awesome paying. still have room/board, experience. Looks beautiful, like the travel chance of a lifetime. Not sure how healthy it is, if high radiation area.
