The Elgin Fire Department is testing, anybody know anything about this department.

I wonder the same thing, as if Elgin doesn't already have enough people that apply.

I just took elgins test, 275 people took the test top 60 will get interviews. As of right now they aren't hiring thats what they said after the test. They mentioned a few people might be retiring soon. I wouldn't mention which departments are testing until after they stop accepting applications.

Was it today 11/2 or tomorrow 11/3 that test results were going to be emailed to us?

It was supposed to be by today. I haven't received one yet, either.

As for hiring, they said they have five or six retirements over the next few months and anticipate at least being able to fill those openings, but nothing is guaranteed and that can change at any time.
