Street racers lose licences
Postmedia News October 13, 2011 A group of street racers in high-end cars who whipped along Highway 99 in August at speeds up to 200 kilometres an hour have had their licences suspended for up to 20 months.
The B.C. Superintendent of Motor Vehicles has ordered the suspension of the licences of five men, following a street race involving 13 luxury vehicles, including Ferraris, Maseratis, Mercedes, an Aston Martin, Audis and Nissan R series worth $2 million, on Aug. 31. A B.C. Supreme Court claim also seeks the forfeiture of five of the 13 cars: the Aston Martin, Nissan GTR, Mercedes SLS and two Lamborghinis. -

I started reading about them losing their licenses and thought, "Too bad they aren't confiscating the...AWESOME!!"
Nice job, coppers. And judgers. And prosecutorers."Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.”

I've always said that the best/worst punishment is to make a convicted Speed Racer watch his own car go IN TO the crusher. I don't care if it's a $200.00 beater or a 2.5 million dollar McLaren (and YES I would cry too!). Or a historically correct 1965 Aston Martin. You race it and get caught. You LOOSE! Suuucckkker!!

I was thinking adding lights and sirens to them with the term, "Rapid Response" in mind. Or, maybe the judge was looking at a possible retirement gift.

My dad worked at GM's Proving Grounds. It's always been a dream of mine to have a hot car for a day, with a full tank of gas, and the run of the place... Over 75 miles of roads, including three tracks capable of whatever you can wring out of your ride...
Opinions my own. Standard disclaimers apply.

Bucket List
My son and his girlfriend just spent 10 days in Germany. Besides Octoberfest, they did 4 laps around the Nurbergring in a rented BMW Z-4 two seat sports car. They were supposed to do 6 laps around the 14 mile track but were an hour late and lost some of their scheduled track time. They were too afraid of wrecking the car to get very aggressive with their lap times. One bucket list item checked off!

So tell me... did he get that from his old man?
My son drove my 1970 Mach 1 for the first time in his life (age 33) this summer and wrecked it in the first 5 minutes.
I should have known better than let him drive it. He set the record for how many times he outran the local cops and wrecked 5 of my vehicles before he was 16. He hasn't learned a damn thing...
I can only hope that his sons settle the score for me...HAVE PLAN.............WILL TRAVEL
