Default Paul Conway Heritage certifed inspection advice

    Guys,

I work for a career department which issues the Ben II helmets for standard issue. We are allowed to wear leather helmets in which I purchased a while ago. Recently I had what our logistics guy called "high heat" exposure which melted the borks but did not signifcantly compromise my helmet, no melted tetrahydrons or obvious damage to helmet. Unfortunately I was advised I must have my helmet sent off to be inspected before I can put it back inservice! I contacted the manufacture, in which they are suppose to get back to me. Anyone have any other advice or experience on this matter, any would be appreciated!

    Thanks guys

    Matt Johnson

yeah tell me about it.. It does take a rocket scientist to inspect a leather helmet for significant damage.
