I heard last week that Genesis is coming out with a battery powred tool like the models Hurst has? Does anyone know if this is true? I would like to look at them before we make our decision.
Thanks,
Bill

Genesis has had a battery pack tool for some time. It is a two piece unit...the tool ( available in several configerations) and the battery pack. We have had ours for a couple of years on our engine and used it many times. It has surprised me as our combo unit is more powerful (capable) than I was expecting.
We operate a separate rescue truck with a full set of tools and a service truck with a full size gasoline powered cutter and spreader as secondary rescue and back up, but the battery combi is useful for forceable entry and opening hoods, doors, etc on car fires as well as a back up on the engine.
Not sure if this is the Genesis unit to which you refer, or if they are coming out with something new I have not seen.BB
