Has anyone heard anything? My investigator sent in my file last week. I check that link at denvergov weekly, it still says "current background candidate." I can't wait to hear how I did and close this chapter. It has been almost 7 months so far!!!!!

I haven't heard anything yet. But mine changed from background candidate to "background report received"

I wouldn't hold my breath on hearing anything anytime soon. According to Earl Peterson (the CSC Executive Director) the earliest he foresees another academy is summer of 2013. They're probably in no rush to get through candidates. I know what you mean though about checking the site for your current status, I do it quite often as well.

"Comments from Staff/Public: Captain Desmond Fulton stated that a new Fire academy class of 20 started on 7/13. He noted they lost one recruit to Boulder, but he was quickly replaced. He stated that the group is diverse and motivated and that the Manager of Safety spoke to the new recruits on 7/19."

Appreciate the heads up. Congrats. My status has also been updated to "eligible for the eligible register." Hopefully the process keeps rolling along and doesn't hit any bumps along the way. Good luck to all.

Same. "Eligibile for Eligible Register." Congrats to all. Hard to even guess at "Rankings" since we still haven't done an interview or oral board, but great to have another phase behind us anyway. NEXT!
