I am still waiting on my results, i am from out of state. Two questions. How did you guys who got your results get informed, phone, email. And it sounds like u get a new final rank then? Also, haven't only the out of state people tested or has everyone been tested. If not, how have they given a final rank? Lots of confusion in this, just looking for info on whats going on.

So the #10 rank was from The written test, the original rank?

I am #124. Not the greatest position to be in, but certainly not the worst.

From the fire candidate information book:

Applicants who pass backgrounds are generally merged onto eligible register ranked by final exam score.
I was notified by a phone call from my BG investigator telling me to get going on the items we discussed in our interview.

    Front Range Firefighter Candidates,
Hopefully nobody gets too grumpy about the content of this post, but I wasn’t able to find a “For Sale” section in the forums. This thread is geographically specific to the front range and I'd prefer not to ship this. If you don’t like the content, just move on to the next post.

I am located in Colorado Springs and have available what I am calling a “Firefighter Candidates Kit”.
It includes a lot of what you’ll need to get ready for or improve your candidacy and testing and interviewing process:

MIR Pro Weight Vest 50 lb. – Great for training for the CPAT. After using this to train for my CPAT’s I knocked a minute and a half off my time vs. putting a weight vest on for the first time at my first CPAT.

Captain Bob’s Gold Package – Includes:
Captain Bob’s book Becoming a Firefighter----The Complete Guide to Your Badge!
“It’s Your Turn in the Hot Seat” CD program
    “Conquer Job Interviews” CD Program
    “Conquer Job Interviews” DVD

Battalion Chief Paul Lepore 3 book package
    “Smoke Your Firefighter Interview”
    “Smoke Your Firefighter Written Exam”
“The Aspiring Firefighter’s 2 Year Plan”

Norman Hall’s Firefighter Exam Preparation book 2nd Edition (2 copies)

ARCO Master the Firefighter Exam book 15th Edition

Everything together retails for over $350. My price for the package is $200. I don’t want to separate it out. I’d much rather sell as a complete “kit”.

Everything has been gently used and is much better off finding a candidate who needs it rather than sitting in a box in my garage.

Respond to this post with your email and I’ll send a photo of everything.

Has anybody received anything about when we'll be scheduled for the CPAT and CPAT practice sessions? I'm from out of town so I wanted to book my flight as early as possible.

I recieved an email a while ago about being invited to the mentoring sessions ...one was last weekend and the other is the 5th. I think the first practice session is 2 weeks after the last mentoring session.

I still have yet to hear back from anyone - I had my poly two weeks ago and my interview this week - nerve wracking this whole process is

The practice sessions are May 19 & June 2. If you don't pass these, the final Cpat is June 16.

The out of state folks were given the option to be scheduled to take all their tests in the same week. Some of us that live in Colorado have ours spread out over a month or so. My suitability test is this week but there were much later dates to choose from.

When all testing is done, everyone will receive a final rank. The ranks we have now are based off of the first written test.
