I made it as well. Considering they only tested 600, i'd say 200 is a pretty hefty number. Wonder how they will stratify them with the resumes, and how many they will allow to move onto the boards.

If you do a quick count of the names on the test results list, it's about 1000. Havent heard an official number though

Just shy of 1000 scores were posted, so I think your buddy's number is more accurate.

I agree YJ. I would rather take a standard test and explain my customer service/teamwork skills in an interview. That test is way to subjective.

Negative here buddy. I don't want to sign up for my CPAT until I'm given the email either...even if it's showing green, $125 non refundable at this time of year is hard to part with until I have official word.

Yeah I have the one Castle Rock FD put on during their hiring process. Only issue is SouthMet is saying CPAT valid through July 2012, so I'm assuming it won't work and will have to take another.

But I guess that's assuming I get into the orals and then past that...not sure if I just sign up for it or wait until I know I need it. Just don't want to be in a scramble mode if that situation arises.

Be careful Dave, looks like you will need to renew your CPAT by 2/20/12

CPAT (CANDIDATE PHYSICAL ABILITY TEST):
All applicants must possess a CPAT certificate valid through at least 7/31/2012 (certificates are valid for 1 year from the date of the test). If you do not have a CPAT certificate, or yours will expire prior to 7/31/2012, you will need to obtain one from a licensed department by 2/20/2012 (see our website, Employment page, CPAT Testing tab, for more info on licensed departments).

My email notification just rolled in, went to AIMS sight and all set for a Feb 18 CPAT. Fun times!
