    Default Special Operations Division

If your department has a Special Ops Division, or a Special Operations Command, where does the staff have their office? Are they at the training center, fire administration, or somewhere else?

We have an EOC that is connected to the administration offices. They can run everything there or they can use the EOC Command trailer and go mobile if necessary. Pretty cool setup.

Ummmm, I'm talking SOC, not EOC. SOC being technical rescue, hazmat, USAR, marine units all grouped into one division known as Special Operations or Special Operations Command.

We're an all paid department with 33 engines, 16 trucks, 3 rescues, a full time hazmat and a 3 fireboats. We work a 4 platoon system.

We have a Battalion Chief assigned for each platoon and a Deputy Chief on day work who oversees the whole show. The Deputy Chief is at the Special Operations firehouse which doesn't have any apparatus, only administrative stuff. The on duty Batt. Chief runs out of a centrally located firehouse that has an engine company, but no special ops unit.

PM me or give me a call if you need more.
