How'd everyone do? Scored a 93 this time around, down from 96 last time. This time I have my NREMT-P, ACLS, PALS, etc. so hopefully I fair a little better. Was contacted by two departments off the last one, didn't meet requirements for one (nremt-p) and didn't pass the interview with the other.
There seems to be a big difference between the fire service in the Chicago area and the fire service in Colorado. Hopefully I'm a little more prepared for the next interview that comes around.![]()

Does anyone know of any departments planning on hiring off this list?

Littleton should be hiring a few off the list. Write to Westminster and they will probably consider you because they should be hiring a few off the list as well. North Wash just hired a few, so did Mountain View, North Met and Thornton so they probably won't be hiring off the list. Other than that I'm not too sure, keep in mind this is all through the grapevine so nothing is absolute.

Hey Nick,
Good to see you on here again. I didn't take the DRCOG this time around, just the one back in June. Littleton and Thornton are going through hiring processes right now. I had heard North Washington was hiring a while back and submitted an application and resume, but never heard from them. I called their HR dept. a couple weeks ago and they said the position had been filled (sounded like a single paramedic position). I spoke with a couple of different Boulder firefighters who both speculated that Boulder might be hiring as soon as this Spring. They mentioned some very recent retirements and that the department was down probably 5-6 guys now, which is usually the point at which they hire.
Just word of mouth, but if I hear anything else I'll be sure to post.

Congrats to everyone. I only got an 86 which is not good but its 4 points better than the last time so the scores are impro. Anybody got any tips or study books that have really helped them? I've done a few but still need as much help as I can get.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I interviewed previously with North Metro and I got a call from North Washington but I didn't have my NREMT-P in time. I'll post up if I hear anything. I'm moving to Boulder the end of the month, that would be awesome if I got hired there.

Has anyone heard anything about Boulder hiring? According to their website they're going to start processing people for a spring academy in February. Boulder is at the top of my list of departments to get hired at.
