Hello all, I am new to the forum but not new to the grants. I have a contact in the AFG office and what I was told today that they will be training staff next week on how to expidite the funding. I was also told that they did not have their closeout meeting yet from the peer reviewers. It was stated that they are looking to roll out awards in 2-4 weeks.

In your application your budget will tell you if it was reduced and what you asked for will be reduced by AFG. No e-mail will be sent. The amount are reflect on application

Congrats. Seing that you got a 3.4 million project gives me a little bit of hope. I have been reading a number of posts about equipment. Training. And ppe all together. Anyway I will start making the adjustments and preparing for 2012 but if this has to go to our SWIC it will never happen

Thanks y'all. Should be a follow up for about the same amount, had to split portables from mobiles/base stations. Funding caps make for a lot of fun in project design in some areas...local buy-in is the hardest part.

Guess nothing big happened over the weekend. Looked myself this morning. No new 1199 and no reductions.

No, happening today. Just found the Update 1199A on the companion app to the $3.4mil regional for the mobile/base station end of things. Wasn't there 2 hours ago.

How long do you expect 1199A updates to continue?

At this pace? Christmas.....2014.... Which is why they'll speed up here real soon. Probably will go to a 3-5 day a week for new 1199A postings unless they go back to the larger dumps 2 days a week.

Posts: 3,366 Subtle Signs of a Potential AFG Award

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that PR has been completed; now it's just sit back and wait for word on our grants. Over the years there have been signs within the application or 1199A's showing up indicating the potential for an award. Even though these signs do not guarantee a future award the chances are 99% that it will happen. Here's what to look for:

    1199A's

    Log into your applications.

    Prior Awardee:
Expand the "Action Box" on the awarded grant. Click on "View" 1199A. You will find a reference in at the top of the page. Look to see if a reference to 2011 is there.

Disclaimer: If it has been some time since your last award that "View" 1199A might appear in your 2011 application "Action" box. My suggestion is check all of your awarded grants from previous years as I found the 1199A in other awarded grants as well.

    First Time Awardee:
Click on the "Action" box on your 2011 application. You will be looking for "Update" 1199A.

    Reductions:

In previous years reductions to costs and/or quantities have appeared early on, in most cases prior to the 1199A showing. Just log into your application and review the budget and/or request detail sections looking for changes to the original amounts/quantities. Unfortunately, if you find yours "zero'ed" out don't expect it to be awarded.

Johnny, it would appear in the action box onthe status page and when you log in it will say "Update 1199a".

Found another 1199a update yesterday late in afternoon for a Regional EMS grant. Good to see they honored their statement to go after standardization of equipment for EMS agencies.

Bought a Scott Eagle 320 for well under $9k this summer. Plenty of $ for a great camera.

No update on our end yet. It would be nice to even see one of those reductions (Course we want the full amount, but...). Anyone receiving any 1199's today? Wondered if they would be sending any today or waiting until after the holidays.
