On of my students found a fresh 1199a update for 2011 dated from yesterday. Looks like AFG is planning on an early Xmas for many! Let the searching begin. New turnouts, first timer for them.

Any chance that it was a reference to 2010 for a supplemental grant?

Just an FYI, it appears that 1199As will be the only indication of a pending award this year. No 10Qs are supposed to precede an award. You may receive a call or e-mail to complete previous closeouts or CCR registration which could be a potential indication.

There is a big movement to have awards begin within 3 weeks and be completed by January 31st to prepare to have the grants schedule back in line for April. The 2012 Program Guidance is already being developed.

Let me assure everyone, it was a 2011 AFG, (Reference Award Number: EMW-2011-FO-00138), I looked at it online twice and walked them through printing it out . It was to update their 1199a as they would be a first time award winner.

we got a call last week in reference to our 2008 afg closeout, which was completed in 2009, but they couldnt understand the math. award was for $85k, we paid out $91k (we paid the difference), so we had to do a breakdown for that. Is that a possibility they are looking at our stuff for an 2011 afg award maybe? i sure hope so.

That may be a good sign as they would want those things cleared up before an awrad was given and they catch those things at tech review stage. Would not plan a party yet but, it may be a good sign you will just have to do like the rest of us and keep your fingers crossed and wait them out.
