“It’s the closest thing that I’ve experienced in an exercise to actually fighting a fire,” said Stefano, who uses kettlebells to train FDNY applicants for the city’s fitness test at his Long Island gym, AKC Fitness. Oates said he realized the benefits of such a workout when he joined the department six years ago. He was equipped with the broad chest and large biceps of a bodybuilder, he said. But during a drill in an abandoned building, he was winded long before his co*workers.

you use kettlebells in CROSSFIT. I am a CROSSFIT trainer

I probably should have been a little more clear, I would take Crossfit and the way they use kettlebells over a program built just around kettlebells. My Bro is a Certified Crossfit Trainer as well in a Gym that is owned by an ex Firefighter/EMT.
