Good ol' Les. Never left the 'door' to his office open, either...
And actually, turkeys can fly - just not the domestic variety...Opinions my own. Standard disclaimers apply.

HOW the heck did he get the airspeed up enough to get the ground clearance on the tracks? I mean, I have a photo taken from somewhere in Australia, when one of my Captains from a millenia ago was on exchange with the Aussie army, of him commanding a Leopard, while "in flight". Leopard tanks can do upwards of 45mph, but not sure a D4 can do that - dont know much about them so my intel could be incomplete.....????

Ah yes... and that reminds me of an event that happened when I was a young'n. My grandparents had a large farm which was backed by a 1000 foot cut bank. Mostly sand and clay. Anyhow, he sold about a million truck loads of the stuff over the span of 8 or so years. Towards the end, the contractor who was working the hill decided to send a Cat up about 1/2 way and then push more down..... OOOOPPPSSSS.
The embankment that he created to push down kinda gave way (fortunately it was after working hours) and his Cat kinda took a tumble.... not very aerodynamic it was. The ensuing slide also buried the big loader at the bottom. All you could see was the top of the cab. Again, good thing it was after work hours. Unfortunately it also blocked the driveway access to the house!
