moving to NC

hello im looking at moving to North Carolina with in 50 miles of Kinston and looking for some info about volunteer fire depts.

Crystal Coast Firefighters Local 4124 is the Local for the coast. Wilmington area is south of us. Kinston is an hour from the coastal beaches and great fishing. Lots of VFD's between Kinston and the beaches. The Bogue Banks FD's (island) are Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores, Salter Path/Indian Beach and Emerald Isle. The soundside FD's are Morehead City, Newport, Beaufort, Wildwood, Western Carteret. DownEast depts are a little past the 50 mile mark but it's a really awesome place to live. There are 10 VFD down east. Havelock is the home of the USMC Air Station Cherry Point and Havelock FD. They have a good VFD and run alongside the base FF's. Closer to Kinston is Township Six and NewBern (West New Bern VFD). Of course you could go inland towards Greenville (from Kinston) and there are even more.
