Not yet. I'm dropping off a volunteer application tomorrow though. I'll do EMT-B in the summer semester once my Hep B vaccination series is complete. As for an academy, my only option would be an online/onsite program due to work obligations. So far I like the way the Texas Fire Academy looks, and it also happens to be run by the volunteer department I'm applying to.

I completed the fire academy back in the summer. I just recently completed the emt-basic course and i take the NREMT-basic exam next week. Im hoping to find some work around the austin area.

Yep, I'm here in northwest Austin, and will probably be joining a local dept in January (submitted completed app in May but there's been a budget freeze.)

I'll be volunteer, since my day job is mechanical engineer.
