Philadelphia Firefighter collapses
Saw this in the news this morning. Hope the brother is ok.
Firefighter collapses fighting South Philadelphia blaze
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - December 23, 2011 (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia firefighter was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed while fighting a fire in South Philadelphia.
Fire crews were on the scene of a blaze along the 1800 block of S Taylor Street a little after 6:30 Friday morning when, witnesses say, the firefighter collapsed behind a fire engine.
CPR was administered and he was given oxygen. The firefighter was then able to sit up and recover, before he was rushed to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. So you call this your free country

Lieut of Ladder 19, is C/A/O at the hospital, talking to everyone. Scuttlebutt is confusing, some say yes he was given CPR and some say he was not, and that he never coded. Nevertheless he appears to be doing fine."Loyalty Above all Else. Except Honor."

Very surprising (to me) that it was someone from L19. They are part of our Haz-Mat team, and while we as a department are not required to have annual physicals, the Haz-Mat members are.
Buff, if you know a name or more info, get a hold of me.Opinions expressed are mine alone, and do not necessarily reflect those of the Philadelphia Fire Department and/or IAFF Local 22.

The NBC station is saying the brother had a heart attack.
Also his name is listed in the link. I didn't want to post it outright.
Prayers for a quick recovery!!
