    Smile Wtf???

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys have given me one helluva good laugh tonight!!! I'm not sure which reply I laughed the most at BUT, thanks everyone.

NOW, I live in a small city of about 4,000. We do not have PH but, IF I thought I needed to respond after placing an order, I'd give them a courtesy call.

    Be safe and BUCKLE UP!!!

And up the order a bunch. If the pizza delivery car shows up at the fire scene, your pizza will last about 2 seconds

Do you eat your "pizza" with a knife and fork or pick it up and eat the slices out of your hand?

    1. I'm not going to be trying to call a pizza place while driving to a call. Sort of illegal and unsafe.
    2. And if I were to call it would take longer to explain to the pizza place what my problem was than it takes for me to get to the station.
    3. Who said it was a recurrening problem? In fact it has never happened. I thought it would be a fun thing to talk about while I was waiting for my pie the other night. I think the folks that have been making light of the topic were the ones who understood what I was going for.

A similar situation: You're out picking up take-out for the wife and family when the tones drop. I've had that happen a few times.. once for an incidental call where I knew we had enough manpower responding so I didn't worry about it. Another time it turned into an all-hands job so I dropped the pie on the counter and headed to the station. Missed the trucks but helped coordinate covering mutual aid.
