Hello,
We are considering extending our existing cross lay of 1 3/4" from 200' to 250'. The question: Is there a maximum effective hose length for Class A Foam. We are using National Foam "knock down" Class A with a truck mounted foam system, not CAFs. My memory is failing me, can't find any text books, and all of the true pump operator guru's aren't around so I'm reaching out to you folks.

It will not affect the ability of the foam. You will just have to pump at little higher pressure to overcome the friction loss of the additional 50 ft.

Depending on your foam system you should be able to go at least out to 500' of 1-3/4".
We carry two 200' 1-3/4", one 250' 2", one 300' 2" all capable of CAFS. Also have a 250' 2-1/2" with a Blitz and a 250' 2-1/2" 1-1/4" SB that can flow solution.

are you using an injection system, around the pump proportioner or an eductor?
an eductor would be the only one that can be an issue.Originally Posted by madden01
