Answering my own question: March 3 is the test date.

I am sure that it is the same departments that always are on there but be careful about getting your hopes up. Take it to master the fireteam test and don't plan on getting picked up. I know South King, South Kitsap and Bremerton are all having problems and probably won't hire. Good luck and stick with it.

Yes, I was near the top of the list last year before V points were added. The only interview I had was with Bellingham.

So for the unfortunate lack of fire departments actually hiring...(only 1 out of 6 depts interviewed last year) what does Bates do with the six plus figures they make from us????

I sent in my application for this test a few days ago. It will be my first testing process.

Rumor has it and its only speculation, that Bellingham an Olympia may be hiring.

Just talked to Olympia and the lady said they were planning on hiring 1 and to call back when it gets closer. So i will be calling again either after the test or just before.

Makes sense. I noticed that the Olympia FD website links to Bates testing, but most the other departments listed on the test don't say anything about it.

I called Bellingham HR today and was told 1 or more. Not great odds but I guess they will hire 1 or more haha

Has anybody heard anything from Bates yet. Its 2 weeks until test time and everybody i know hasn't recieved a letter yet or any kind of confirmation.

The math is a JOKE.

Math and Reading are pass/fail! Your scores are going to be based on the 70%HR and 30%Mechanical. So it doesn't really matter what your score on math is. Last year I had an 87% HR and a 94% Mech and didn't land an interview from this test! I just took my National the weekend before and scored 86.37% HR and a 94.44% Mech! Last time i took the National test I got an 82%HR and a 94% Mech and got 4 interviews off of it! So basically what I am saying is you never know what will get you an interview and that the way to land a job is to start practicing interviews and not only focus on the written!
