I think my last post here was titled "firefighter reciprocity", i am more of a lurker than a poster. Anyways, I am currently taking an EMT-B class in NY state. As it stands now, there is reciprocity from NY to NJ you just have to apply, take the written blah blah blah... From what I've heard, NJ is starting a new EMTB curriculum soon that will extend the course to 250 or so hours. When i get my NY state cert in May, does anyone know how the reciprocity process will change, if i will still be eligible?
thanks all

The new curriculum is not happening in NJ....at least for now. There was a bill being sponsored that would have added hours to the EMT training, but the bill failed.
at least for now."This thread is being closed as it is off-topic and not related to the fire industry." - Isn't that what the Off Duty forum was for?
