Does anybody know the timeline DFR is shooting for? When would the first academy start? I ask because this process is moving much faster than I had expected. Thanks.

I talked to him through email yesterday dctalk. I finally was able to get my accuplacer taken (I'm coming from outside of Dallas) and everything sent off. CPAT scheduled, looks like it's gonna be another month before any sort of progress as everyone is taking their CPATs

I heard they are hiring 85 this year. However last year I was told they said they would hire 150 and ended up hiring 200. Has anyone heard differently than 85?

I took the CPAT and passed last Thursday and I believe only one or two people did not pass. If you already went on a different day can you share the outcome of your test day?

Approximately how many people tested on the day you did? I am scheduled to take mine on the 1st. I saw a handful of people fail the practice run.

Took mine and passed on the 7th, was the 12th person and i believe there were 3 that failed. Heard from a friend at dallas that the number of people left before cpat was 348.

@ hejl12
Thats pretty good numbers. Assume 20 people failed the cpat. Thats 328 left to pick for interviews. They said they usually take three times the number they want to hire, so thats 255. No too bad I guess. Its pays to fill out the PHS well and include letters of rec, i hope anyway...
