I tried searching but with no luck, so here is my question. Does a new chief's buggy need Chevron Stripping like a new apparatus would? The 1901 standard does not really make it that clear. Thanks for your help.

I do not think that a Chiefs vehicle falls under the Apparatus Category

It is NOT a requirement by NFPA 1901 as of yet.
