Startup Costs

I'm considering applying for a SAFER grant to jumpstart a junior/explorer program at our department. I'm wondering what kinds of things I should budget for. Some of what I have in mind so far:

- Promotional Materials
- Uniforms
- Training Turnouts
- Tuition for state explorer academy in the summer

What else should I budget for that I haven't considered yet?

Hey Pelican-

I don't have experience with grant writing, but I'd consider putting "staffing" into the SAFER for the program. I don't know how you run yours, but I know that we went after the grant at my department to add employees, so it may be an opportunity to add a training position to the department.
