I followed the thread but never commented, I'm pretty sure I'm hired, just went through the Physical and fitness test and blood work, just waiting for the final call now. I do know the start date is October 22.Quote:

30 people were testing for the last phase.
In person, in my opinion a face to face interview is the way to go. The drive to Savannah was def. Worth the trips.Quote:

I have a feeling the January or any class next year will be finalized in the next month or two. Budget workshops are in the 2nd week of November. Will keep you posted.
I received an email from Heather stating that the department would not be hiring until late 2013 possibly even 2014.

The next class will also be dependant on the opening/ground breaking of the Chatham Parkway station. This will house an engine and truck. So another 30.
So how has the first week of Rookie school been man? I see they only ended up hiring 29 not 30.
