I got an email this afternoon saying I have passed the written, and will be contacted soon about PAT scheduling. No idea when that will be.

From the looks of it, the physical agility isn't that demanding either (at least compared to the CPAT)...I wonder how they'll cut down the numbers.

If you are looking for a personal trainer in the DC area that is specifically geared towards CPAT testing take a look at www.wildfireadventures.com. I ran the recruit training, CPAT testing and several other programs for Washington DCFD. DCFD does not currently have classes in session nor are we testing. I’ve tested several hundred applicants and know what is needed to pass the test. If you’re looking to get in shape or have a specific goal in mind such as CPAT take a look at the site. Training is done in College Park.

They didn't give times...It was a pretty basic test though, tests general fitness level...Not much depth to look into, very passable...

Went the night of the practice, and took my physical then. Gotta say, from what I saw at practice, I think more people should have put in a bit more time at the gym. The test itself is definitely doable, you just want to make sure you do it as fast and safe as possible. Hopefully my time was fast enough to get an interview.

Any word on when the interviews are going to take place? I thought that was a good physical the worst part is not knowing anything!

I have heard they will not be interviewing everyone that passed the physical. Over 3000 people took the written. They will begin interviewing sometime in September.

Does anyone have any idea or can anyone make an educated guess as to when the first class will pick up?

I believe the academy will start in December.
