Something that has always puzzled me all my life is why, when I am in special need of help, the good deed is usually done by somebody on whom I have no claim. ~William Feather

I am without words but all I can say is thank you.

I'm sorry I missed the party but I didn't have enough bail money saved up anyway!!

Ray, thank you for everything you have done for the FDNY and the fire service across the country. You are an inspiration to us all with your vision and courage in our "post 9/11" world.

    We will never forget!

If one were to look up the term "class act" in the dictionary, one would find the photograph of Ray Pfeifer, a true friend and Brother.
‎"The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."

I think it takes a particular coward to criticize procedures that you don't understand; particularly when they apply to places that you don't have the bravery to go"

    Battalion Chief John Sullivan, FDNY

I agree and when you look all of FF Pheifer's post's they where on the spot. end of story.

I had the distinct pleasure to attend a truly wonderful event. Ray's family and BROTHERS did an amazing job and it was a very nice time. Ray has a lot of people in his corner. I feel like I was representing all of us who have been touched by Ray's dedication to the memories of those lost and fierce loyalty of those continuing to fight.

Please continue to keep Ray in your prayers. He is still fighting like hell. I am reminded of something one Ray's FDNY BROTHERS told me at the fundraiser. "Ray is a home run". Best line I have heard in a long time.

Does anyone know his status? I know he is fighting but is he hospitalized or sick at home or what? In the video he looks good, has he gotten worse since then?

    Prayin' for the brother!
