SAFER Grant Deadline getting closer..What are you asking for this year?
Since we don't have a problem with recruitment and retention, and since hiring new firefighters is a very low priority with this year's program guidance, we are not putting in a SAFER application this year.Quote:

Went with Bunkroom, member awards, signage, and aggressive multimedia campaign.
Changeable letter signs (2) and mail marketing campaign.
We went for an aggressive membership recruitment campaign (Brochures, Mailers, signs, banner and newspaper ads). We also went for 2 signs (1 in front of the station, the other 2 blocks down the street from the stattion where the street the station is located and the main road into town). We also asked for funding to get internet access and a company website running, Member of the month program started and running.
This was the first time I have done a SAFER Grant and this is also the first time my Fire company has done one, So we will see. Good luck to everyone. Now its time to get ready for the next grant(s).
