Hey guys, I am a firefighter for the USAF looking to go contract. Well anyway I was hopping I could get in contact with someone who is working over seas or has contacts in the contract community and could pass my resume along.

Just trying to make a quick buck before I get out of firefighting and go back to school.
There are also more contracting options than just the middle east.Last edited by bdrain87; 02-14-2012 at 04:56 PM.

bdrain87,
With your certs and USAF background, look at "ITT Defense" website and apply. The old days of passing the resume around are over, you must apply. I just got hired with this company as a FF D/O wich is the lowest position they offer and from the certs you posted thats all you can get as well. Pay is anywhere from 125,000 to 180,000 depending on the hours you work at your base. This company has there stuff together if your really looking at going to Afghanistan.
Hope this helps and good luck!

bdrain87...you may find in more beneficial if you stay in the AF, work on getting your II's and looking at some specialized schools and also working on your college while still in. The contract world is drying up fast and if you already have a job there in the AF you really may want to consider staying with it for awhile, believe me it is a lot safer there then it is out here. You're going to see a lot of people throwing out all kinds of figures as far as pay, take that with a grain of salt. If you're a first termer have you already applied for you CJR as of yet? I know Big Blue is having a lot of problems these days, but life on this side of the fence isn't all roses either. Take a good look at those long range plans on what you want to do and where you want to be.....
