going down end of July for written test and practical anyone one else going down??

went down and took Written, Practical and Panel interview all in one day, interview was a little bit of surprise but looks like process is moving along quickly with talks of a class of roughly 30 recruits starting jan 2013.... anyone else go down? any idea how many showed for written??

Did the same thing as tons and was told to expect a call sometime soon with a date for my pollygraph. It's been 2 weeks and still nothing. Any thoughts ? What about you tons, have you heard back?

received Email stating passed the written, physical ability and ranking interview process. There will be a separate email sent with eligibility number. anyone else get this were find out anymore info?

I recieved an email giving me my ranking number and stating that I will be contacted by the Norfolk Fire Department for a polygraph two days ago.

came away with an eligibility number of 56. Any thoughts in how competitive that is?

Prob not this academy but I'd say definitely good enough for Jan 14'. But don't quote me on that.

I didn't think the academy dates were out yet? Hey nightowl, if you don't mind, what number did you come away with? Just asking, since you were already scheduled for a Polygraph.

Thanks, Im not sure yet. I'm still in the process so my fingers are crossed. We will see.. I heard January though.

anyone have any idea how many they hired in the last class and how many actually went through the process? I hear they have an upcoming class was wondering if anyone knew when that would be and how many they are hiring from the last test
