Hey guys,

Does anyone know how the pay grade/step system works at Dallas Fire Rescue? My biggest question is what happens if you are in the same grade for several steps, let's say F2 Step 7, and you move to F3 - will you have to start at Step 1 or do you keep your "steps" so you could start at F3 - 7?
Hope that made sense. Basically just wondering if you spent a few years in one place, would you lose $$ by ranking up.
