Graduation Gift

One of my closest friends got hired and will be graduating his academy in the next week or so and his wife keep on asking me if there is a good gift she should get him. Anybody have any suggestions that I could shoot her way. It would be much appreciated.

agreed but not every department allows leather helmets or even personally provided gear for that matter. I would discourage a purchase as big as this for 2 reasons: -too many administrative unknows and also you dont know the wearer's head size.

I have a Gerber Tool that I have had since 1997- it is my American Express card. Great suggestion. Another good suggestion is a good quality *large* duty bag or a duffel bag with compartments, to hold extra clothes, bed sheets/blankets, toiltries, etc etc etc.

Another suggestion- a leather bound writing journal, for him to write notes and thoughts about all of the fires he goes to (something I wish dearly I have done over the years....)
