Currently this year, we are at 522. 187 fire/rescue related calls, 335 EMS first response. We are the 2nd busiest department in Erie County. Only the city itself beats us.

Last year (2011) we had 2352 calls. Approx 2/3 of those were EMS. I have no idea without digging into the records how many were actual fires.

Last year we ran 65 calls. I don't remember the exact breakdown but it's something like 55% suppression calls (structures and brush/grass fires), 30% EMS, 10% MVA's, 5% misc (smoke alarm/co2 calls, etc).

We had just over 180 runs last year. About a quarter are mutal aid fire runs, another quarter are auto accidents, another quarter are EMS assist calls, and the rest are fire runs, service calls, and misc. runs in our own area. That's Scioto Twp. (in Delaware County Oh.)

We had 242 calls last year. Up from 210 IIRC. Most calls we've ever ran. That is all fire/rescue no EMS. Dept is in S.E. Iowa.

We average 600 a year.
About 150 fire related, and 450 EMS.
We are just under 200 now, but it will pick up, because we have 5 campgrounds in our district that on busy weekends top out at 25,000+ total people.
We are in Northern Illinois.

If I remember correctly just over 200 fire/rescue related calls and somewhere in the range of 150-175 separate EMS calls, which is our yearly average.

A lot, many during meal time and key sporting events on TV.
I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.

We're a combo department. Last year we did roughly 1700 I believe... both fire and ems. Don't have the detailed numbers with me for working fires, extrications, etc.
This year so far we are somewhere in the vicinity of 800 +/- a few. However we've been running more fire this year than any time even the old timers can remember. 10 workers in the past three or four weeks.Just because it's called a throw bag, doesn't mean you throw the whole bag... you're supposed to hold onto the rope.
