I'm curious what a "Drafting Trailer" is stocked with.
We carry about 30 feet of 5 inch hard suction, and 2 different varieties of strainers on our engine and 2 lengths of 2 1/2 inch hard suction, a 2000 gallon fold-a-tank, a strainer and a float pump on our 1750 gallon tanker.
What more do you really need? My experience is limited to my own department on this so I'm really curious.

If that's all you're trying to do you don't need the actual force needed to penetrate sheetrock, you need the resistance force used on the CPAT "breach and pull" station. AFAIK, it's 60# force for the breach, 80# force for the pull at the point of operation. (The amount of weight needed on your stack to achieve that will depend on how you configure the leverage.)
Good luck! The machines run about $5K but I'm sure you can put together a useful training simulator for much less."Nemo Plus Voluptatis Quam Nos Habant"
The Code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.

Having been to the Harrisburg show the last 4 years (and going again in a few weeks).....I have to agree. They will buy it.

I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.

the volunteer fire service sure has a propensity for buying "fire service" junk. From those stupid plastic wedges to lame 100 function multi tools, my volunteer friends buy that stuff up at much higher rates than career guys.
