Not Sure If This Is The Right Forum, But Backgrounds Question

Hey everyone,

I apologize in advanced if this is the wrong forum to post this, but I have a question about backgrounds when getting hired with departments.


I recently just received a ticket from California Highway Patrol. It was for driving solo in the HOV lane. The code is 21655.5B. According to my searches on the internet, and the CHP officer this violation does NOT carry a point on my record, does NOT warrant driving school, and does NOT go against my insurance.

All I have to do is pay the fine and be done.

My question is will this look bad in backgrounds when getting hired?

This is the only ticket I have ever gotten. Other than that my record is spotless.

As long as you did not have a blow up doll subing as a passenger , you will be ok

Don't worry about it. Pay the fine and write it down on your background packet. This is not a big deal.
