Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
    Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love, and forget how to hate

while i'm not happy about what they want to do to our pensions, i'd support them over the democrats who want to take our 401k's, mortgage tax deduction, don't support english, etc. etc.

Where is this occurring? I've not read anywhere that Dems want to do away with the mortgage deduction. Is this happening in WI only?

Given the context, it makes sense what is trying to be achieved. The difference is that if Walker and his follower get his way, public employees won't have enough of an income to afford a mortgage.

I live in Orange County, CA. The GOP in this area has made it clear they believe public employees (especially firefighters and police) are overpaid and overbenefitted.

They have also made it clear they don't care about the dangers of the job or anything else you might put forth as an argument to justify your pay and benefits.
